Arccos, a leader in stroke data collection and a pioneer of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence for golf, is expanding its platform and announcing a host of new features for the 2023 season. With their help, the company says it can harness the power of an unrivaled and big data pool even better and more comprehensively on the golf course.
The new features for Q1 2023 will be:
- On-Course Data API: This will allow companies to develop, products and services that leverage golf course data for each player in the Arccos system (SSO authentication process). Application areas may include golf instruction, fitting, e-commerce, media and travel.
- Launch Monitor Data Capture: phase 1 of the project to combine data collected on and off the course. It will allow players to easily enter session parameters and 8 characteristics that support Arccos’ A.I., including “smart carry” distances.
- A.I. Rangefinder with advanced personalization: it uses weather, slope and launch monitor data to provide even more accurate distances to any point on the golf course. These include the new “Smart Carry” distances and club recommendations.
- Arccos for Apple Watch: In addition to the AI rangefinder and caddie for club recommendations, Apple Watch owners can start and play a round without having to access their iPhone (optimized for Series 5 and newer).
