The tourist association “Liebliches Taubertal” has been drawing attention to the golf courses in the region for several years. “Which golfer does not dream of playing a few strokes in a beautiful landscape and on a demanding course? The holiday region ‘Lovely Tauber Valley’ is a wonderful natural landscape that offers the best conditions for this”, says managing director Jochen Müssig of the tourism association “Lovely Tauber Valley”, praising the region – not least because of the wine.
In the middle of the “Lovely Tauber Valley” lies the golf course of the Bad Mergentheim Golf Club. Only ten minutes walk from the spa gardens, in the Erlenbach Valley. The course is slightly undulating and is surrounded by forest all around. The charm of the course lies in the combination of the lateral course of the Erlenbach with a larger lake and the dense woods to the left and right of the course. 112 hectares of golf course Kaiserhöhe near Ravenstein offer golfers of all levels of playing pleasure. In addition to a twelve-hole course, there is also a nine-hole course and a six-hole course.
The 18- and nine-hole courses at the Golf Course Neusaß-Glashofen are located in the middle of the Madonna Land of the Franconian Odenwald. On the 86 hectare large course there are 27 holes and more than 60 bunkers and water hazards.
The Golf and Country Club Erftal e.V., about 25 kilometres from the “Lovely Tauber Valley”, offers a fast game due to the short distances between the courses. With its bunkers, water hazards and partly narrow fairways, the almost 5700 metre long course is a challenge for golfers of all levels.
