The tee shot in golf
The tee shot is the point at the beginning of each hole from which the first shot is taken. In general, men tee off from the yellow or white (for tournaments) markings, ladies and teenagers from the red or black (for tournaments) markings located at the tee. The ball may only be placed on a “tee” at the tee-off. The first shot from the tee is also called the tee shot.
