Golfers are usually very enthusiastic about their sport. As many of my friends and acquaintances know that I am very fond of this sport, I am often asked what gifts are given to golfers. And as is so often the case in life, there is only a limited answer. Here is an attempt:
When it comes to gifts, golfers can certainly be divided into two categories: The practical-minded and the aesthetes. For the practically-minded, there are things that every golfer needs again and again.
Golf balls as a gift
First and foremost, of course, golf balls. If you don’t know your preferred brands, as some golfers have “settled” on a specific model, you can take a look at golf balls from Vice, for example. These are available in different prints and colors, so you can find something suitable for different occasions and people. Balls from other suppliers are also worth a look. And if you’re looking for something to do with golf balls as a gift, you should take a look at this golf ball stamp. Not only very classy, but also practical – by the way, it comes with attractive packaging.
Another consumer item is golf tees. But these are only suitable as a gift to a limited extent, too cheap, too unspectacular. There are also no real developments that could surprise golfers. A new glove is more likely to please golfers. I would generally advise against clubs, unless they are in voucher form. Every club should fit the player perfectly, so it is essential to try them out and customize them.
Golf gifts for aesthetes
Golf gifts are rarely available. Therefore, you often have to make do without. One option is to fall back on golf art. These can be photos or paintings, but also home accessories, for example the Danish”Hoptimists” are also available in a golf version. The only disadvantage here: If you want something nice, it won’t be cheap. These types of golf gifts are therefore suitable if you want to give something together. Take a look at our golf art section, where you will find a good overview, including golf jewelry, but also prints, such as lithographs, which are also a good way to give something special.
Gifts for golfers – the classics
You can not only play golf, you can also read it. For example, there are training books (whether this is really helpful is another matter….), but also novels that revolve around the subject, as well as biographies that are related to golf. There is also a wide selection of calendars, from golf calendars with great photos of German golf courses to historical posters. If you want to be remembered regularly with your gift, you can of course also give a subscription to a golf magazine.
